Our Process for a succesful photography shoot

PRE-PRODUCTION
Pre production is an important part of our process, we sit down with you and discuss your vision, and the look you are wanting to convey. We go over the shot list and discuss any shots that may need special arrangements and length and time needed to complete, we will discuss any need for a producer and stylist depending on your budget, or wether we will be using the hotel staff for producing and styling. The important thing is that we are prepared and ready when the shoot days arrive.
SCOUT DAY
A scout day is important, the first day on property we will scout each location that is to be shot in order to choose the most optimal time for lighting, any special needs and possible guest traffic, if locations like restaurants , lobbies and bars are not available for daytime shots or are not appropriate for the look and ambiance then we will shoot after closing or early morning, What ever it takes to get the best shot. At this time we will better be able to refine the order in which the shot list will executed.
SHOOT DAY
When the shoot days arrives, we are ready! The order of the shots have been decided a head of time, all locations are prepped and ready. We are off to our first location and begin, making each image the best it can be. Preparation is the key to a smooth photo shoot.
POST PRODUCTION
Post production is where magic happens, we start with an already beautifully lite and composed raw file, and with color correcting retouching and compositing we produce a stunning final image that will have guest longing to be there.
RETOUCHING
Beside the normal retouching of each image. digital retouching can play a vital role in enhancing your image. We can deliver fully retouched and composited images ready for print and web, retouching can be very important for newly opened properties or properties still under construction.
2ND SHOOTER FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS
Russell Pope, a highly skilled associate for special shoots that require an extra shooter due to the scale of the shoot and time required. is an incredibly skilled shooter as well as retoucher and digital tech. We have been working together for over 20 years.
